Borough Market

"It’s an exciting time for food lovers in Britain. People are more interested in the provenance of produce than ever before, which is a good thing. There are various markets to explore, but the biggest would have to be Borough Market in south-east London."

Zuma

"London has an incredible restaurant scene and ranks alongside New York for its energy and choice. It offers a vibrant melting pot of top-notch eateries. If I had to pick the one I have eaten at the most, I would have to say Zuma in Knightsbridge. I love Japanese food and this is some of the best you will find."

Rough Trade

"Apart from cooking, I would have to say that music is my other great passion. I love spending a day in a record store flicking through the vinyl racks to find new stuff and old classics – happy days. Rough Trade on Westbourne Park Road is a favourite."

Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park

"I have been spending a lot of time recently at Dinner, my new restaurant at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park. Everyday around 10.30am, just before lunch service, the Royal Horse Guards ride past in all their finery. It’s a great sight with Hyde Park in the background. What an amazing location. "

Portobello Road

"There is something for everyone in Notting Hill. I used to hang out in Books for Cooks just off Portobello Road, on Blenheim Crescent. My sister liked the travel bookshop across the road. Then, of course, there’s the market itself. It’s still a vibrant and exciting place to explore. You could spend a whole day getting completely lost in the energy of it all."
