This month, we join Macau Tatler behind the scenes as they shoot beauty queen Guiomar Pedruco at the Mandarin Oriental Macau.

Easy-going, assertive and energetic would be the first few words that come to mind when we meet the Macau Tatler cover girl, also a fifth-generation Macanese. Her words are punctuated with assertion, her smile is ear-to-ear and radiant – you couldn’t ask for a socialite who was more at ease with the camera.

However, this comes as no surprise as cover girl Guiomar Pedruco is no stranger to the spotlight. Years ago, following the footsteps of her three older sisters – all Miss Macau winners – she took part in the Miss Macau pageant, and with her innate charm, took the crown, too.

Today, she steps away from the spotlight and let other talents that have emerged from her beloved city of Macau step forward. While running her public relations company Summit MICE, she puts particular focus on the Macau Cover Girl competition, a modelling competition which also acts as a channel to showcase Macanese talent, through music, fashion design and using all local resources throughout.
