Komune

Found in the Ovolo Southside hotel, this colourful eatery offers a menu of fresh, South American inspired plates. Open daily for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks, it’s a great pit spot to know for any time of day when you’re exploring Wong Chuk Hang. The terrace is also perfect for enjoying a selection of small plates and drinks al fresco.

Also located in Ovolo Southside, Above by Komune can be found on the hotel’s 23rd floor and promises sweeping views of the Southside. The ideal location in the area for sundowners, the bar can also be rented out as an event space for private parties and gatherings.

Beef & Liberty

A Hong Kong favourite when it comes to burgers, Beef & Liberty always delivers. A recent addition to the Wong Chuk Hang dining scene, the location opened in the summer of 2019 and offers a full menu of quality burgers, sides, salads, desserts, drinks and more. For the vegetarians out there, Beef & Liberty pulls out all the stops with its popular Falafel burger, along with a range of dishes featuring Impossible meat.

Te Quiero Mucho Taqueria

If it’s tacos that you’re craving, Te Quiero Mucho Taqueria is the place for you. Africa Tea & Coffee

This hidden gem serves teas and single-origin coffee from around the continent as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our favourite item on the menu is The Rolex, which is not a high-end timepiece, but a Ugandan wrap made with chapati stuffed with scrambled egg and vegetables.

The Loft

The Loft is Pirata Group’s test kitchen and event space, which also doubles as a popular lunchtime haunt in Wong Chuk Hang. Not only is the space available to rent for private parties – all catered by Pirata Group favourites–but it also serves sandwiches, pizzas, salads and more to dine-in or take-away.

Launched in 2011, Pomegranate Kitchen is a Hong Kong catering and events company based in Wong Chuk Hang. What To Do

Young Master Ales Brewery

As the makers of some of the city’s most popular craft beers, Young Master Ales is worth a visit. Brewery tours are run on Saturdays (in both English and Cantonese) and feature a guided tour and an insight into how the craft brewers make everything from its Classic Pale Ale to its sour and locally-inspired Cha Chaan Teng Gose. Although no alcohol is authorised to be consumed on site, the brewery does feature a shop where brew fans can pick up bottles to take home, along with a range of merch.
