The style savvy fashion blogger shares her favourite places to eat and shop in her hometown
A true Londoner, fashion blogger and style maven Susanna Lau was born and raised in the Big Smoke. Despite travelling the world and sharing her tatler_stories from some of her favourite cities – Antwerp, Shanghai, Paris, Bilbao – it is to the British capital that she declares her allegiance. We ask her for her top five favourite places at the moment.
In London, I like A Little of What You Fancy (464 Kingsland Road, Dalston, E8 4AE). I think it’s really friendly and all my friends go there. That’s where we always hang out and get breakfast.
I also really like Burger and Lobster (29 Clarges Street, Mayfair, W1J 7EF) just because they do burgers…and lobsters. You don’t have to choose really, it’s very simple. And I always go for lobster – lobster roll specifically, just because it’s rich and delicious.
And I like the Bull and Last (168 Highgate Road, Kentish Town, NW5 1QS), because it’s a great pub and I’m very much a north London girl. It’s near where I went to school. I like to have the charcuterie board or the fish board, which are both quite good.
Shopping-wise, I like LN-CC (18 Shacklewell Lane, Dalston, E8 2EZ) because while it’s appointment only, it’s a really good store and they have great buys. I know the owners well.
And last but not least, an amazing vintage store in Notting Hill, Merchant Archive (19 Kensington Park Road, Notting Hill, W11 2EU), is one of my favourite places. Sophie, the owner, has the best taste in the world and always finds amazing pieces.
