I must admit that I have reached an age where people around me are getting married. Living in Hong Kong, I have been to a lot of lousy weddings, especially the Chinese ones that make you sit in the middle of a cheesy circus, gosh, I get so bored I would rather stay home and watch HBO. Don’t get me wrong, I am Chinese and I totally understand the Chinese traditions, but weddings are about the celebration of love, so in my opinion, less is definitely more.

Amanda and Christian’s wedding was definitely the most beautiful wedding I have attended – hands down. It was romantic, tasteful and stylish. Miuccia Prada herself customised Amanda’s dress. The bustier dress had the signature Prada beadings and an elegant loose knot at the back that continued into a long train. I gasped when I saw it.

Another thing I did take note of is the handful of people who defied wedding tradition and wore black – it is fair to say, you will never see this at a Chinese wedding! All in all, it was a stylish wedding with stylish people and for this column, I picked a few guests for my best-dressed list below.
