Pick up a coffee from SP_CE—a café that embodies Sheung Wan’s laidback creative vibe—on the way to your next art stop: Blue Lotus Gallery. 

Founded in 2007, Blue Lotus Gallery specialises in photography and works on paper that explore Hong Kong’s identity and culture. Local legends Fan Ho and Wing Shya, who is famous for his work with film director Wong Kar-wai, are just two of the photographers represented here.

Lucie Chang Fine Arts

Just a short walk from Blue Lotus is Lucie Chang Fine Arts, which is committed to exploring the influence of classical art—particularly Chinese classicism—in contemporary art.

Among the talents who have exhibited at the gallery are Fang Lijun, one of Mainland China’s most prominent artists, and Zhang Huan, who has attracted international attention with his performance art and paintings.

The next stop on your Sheung Wan art tour is Soluna Fine Art, a specialist in Asian fine art and crafts with deep roots in South Korea, where it operates a gallery in Seoul.

Liang Yi Museum

Over The Influence

Over The Influence will quickly jolt you back to the present after a dose of nostalgia at Liang Yi Museum. This gallery specialises in contemporary art, displaying works by artists from around the world including MeeNa Park, Scott Campbell, Nobuyoshi Araki and Erró.
