Visit Cocoaland and meet the chocolate-loving cocoa monsters at the luxury shopping mall

Landmark has been overtaken by monsters this Christmas. But, fear not, these are chocolate-loving Cocoa Monsters who have transformed the luxury mall–which has 208 retailers and brands on offer for Hong Kong shoppers—into Cocoaland, a world of chocolate-filled fun and adventure to celebrate the holiday season.

It’s not hard to see Cocoa Monster wandering around as you shop for the holidays—and they are some of the most hard-to-please customers you can find. In the midst of festive celebrations, we spotted Carrier Monster sneaking in a styling session at The Armoury and it seems he has gotten some men’s styling tips from one of Hong Kong’s best-dressed men, Alan See:

Monster amounts of fun

Like every year at Landmark, the official Christmas installation is alone worth the visit. And in 2018, some 70 monsters are having a monster amount of fun inside a handcrafted their own mini-world.

Located at the Landmark Atrium, there is a live show for children and parents (and adults who are kids at heart) every 30 minutes, filled with festive cheer, seasonal music and spectacular lights.

Come and see the monsters’ luscious cocoa forest, a molten chocolate river and the monsters’ very own chocolate factory.  As time moves on, watch the Cocoa Monsters work and play and defend their cocoa bean collections from chocolate thieves the ‘Greedies’, until the Landmark’s hero, Santa Paws, saves the day and all is well in cocoa land once more.

Make a wish, and win

For those wanting to participate–and even live the life of a Cocoa Monster–there are mini-games to be played inside the mall as part of the exhibition.

For a HK$20 donation, which goes to Make-A-Wish Hong Kong, wannabe gamers get a go at the Wishing Machine where they can earn “Cocoa monsters surprise rewards”.

Part of Landmark’s ‘A Year of Something New’ campaign, these recent festivities are the perfect excuse to shop this Christmas inside the mall, promoting the importance of physical retail in connecting with others for the Holiday season, no matter who you are.

Adopt a monster

Aside from competitions, several exclusive festive merchandise items have been made available to buy.

Made as a plush, shoppers can adopt a loveable Cocoa Monster or one of the Greedies. For those not into toys, shoppers can also purchase festive tote bags featuring one of this year’s characters, as well as smaller items such as key chains, and much more.

All are available to buy at Landmark Atrium, and again, all proceeds go to Make-A-Wish Hong Kong.

Social season

Social media savants will love the “Landmark HongKong” mobile app. Experience Joy at Landmark with Cocoa Monsters by downloading the app for interactive games and experiences. For Christmas, shoppers have been asked to snap a photo of any one of the mischievous monsters around the mall—from the Cocoa Monsters afternoon tea set at Cafe Landmark, Moleskine Cocoa Monsters Christmas special edition notebook, to J.Lindeberg Cocoa Monster polo shirt. Once captured, visitors can claim an amazing reward.

The complete range of Christmas shopping experiences on offer at Landmark are running from now to January 1.
