"I couldn't believe that sites like this were still available," says award-winning architect Frank Gehry, whose Opus Hong Kong on Stubbs Road, is his residential debut in Asia.

Known for breaking conventional modalities of structural definition, Gehry has successfully made Opus Hong Kong a new landmark. Its helical structure spirals upward, while the interior rotates around a central core tower to give each unit a different interior layout and a panoramic view.

Starting in the second quarter, a total of 12 units will be available for lease. Among them are two duplex garden apartments ranging from approximately 6,000 to 6,900 square feet in size. Each sumptuous unit has access to rooftop swimming pools.

If you think the Marinella in Aberdeen is just another luxury establishment in a prime location with a killer view, you are mistaken. The marina-inspired development opted for a green approach by adhering to the green building code: Installed in the rooftop are photovoltaic panels for renewable energy that heats up water in the clubhouse, while the sky garden allows sunlight and fresh air to seep through naturally.

In terms of location, Marinella is also second to none. Nearby Aberdeen Marina Club and Hong Kong Country Club will make weekends all the more relaxing, and together with its 270º panoramic view of the southern district of Hong Kong, K. Wah Real Estates’ Marinella is looking certain to attract a sellout crowd in the third quarter.

One Mayfair is the pinnacle of luxury residences in Kowloon, situated in an upraised topography that boasts one of the rarest and most beautiful vistas that have a panoramic view of Kowloon Peninsula and Hong Kong Island.

The completely refurbished establishment inherits the simplistic design of a colonial building, where only two flats are present on each floor with spacious balconies, ensuring privacy and a “box seat” experience during race days.

Set to complete in the third quarter by the Nan Fung Group, each unit in Winfield is also fitted with a HK$1 million kitchenette.

With 31 houses ranging from 4,002 square feet to 7,745 square feet, Shouson Park is easily one of the grandest developments in Hong Kong this year.

Set to complete in September by the Sun Hung Kai Properties, Shouson Peak is within close proximity to the prestigious Deepwater Bay Golf Club. Each of the 31 houses is sported with a private garages, front and back yards. There is also a 7,745-square-foot unit behemoth, topped with a private pool and a 2,300-square-foot garden.
