Bright and complex, this year's Pantone colour has been revealed

Every year, Pantone's group of experts review the industries of beauty, fashion, technology, food and more to select the colour they've seen the most, and to use this colour as a visual representation to push forward in the world of trends and design.

This year, the Pantone Color Institute announced that the colour of 2018 is the bright purple shade that Prince adored—and that is a favourite amongst Royals—PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet.
