Having opened in March this year, Rosewood Hong Kong has quickly become one of the city's most chic and sought after destinations. So what better place to celebrate Hong Kong's bright young minds?

This year’s Gen.T List unveiling will be taking over Rosewood Hong Kong's giant, pillarless Grand Ballroom of 1,000 square metres. Don't forget to pause for a photo opp on the spiral marble staircase.

Since 2016, Gen.T has recognised Hong Kong’s most promising entrepreneurs, creative visionaries, influential innovators and disruptive talents to form the annual Gen.T List. So far, the list has included the likes of fashion designers, artists, restaurant owners, start-up stars and more.

2019 marks the first year we've compiled a regional list, featuring a total of 400 honourees from Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, China and the Philippines. At our exclusive soirée this Friday, we will be unveiling the 40 honourees who are from Hong Kong.

In the meantime, let's see if you can guess which Hongkongers made the cut based on these teasers:

  • This eco-warrior has been quietly leading Hong Kong's sustainability movement for years now with her ultra-informative website
  • This restaurateur has almost single-handedly disrupted Hong Kong's dining scene, opening restaurant after wildly successful restaurant
  • This yogi has brought authenticity to Hong Kong's wellness scene with his studio that focuses on the traditional Indian style and philosophy of yoga

After his inspiring appearance at last year's Gen.T Party, Room to Read founder John Wood is back again to share an impactful keynote with this year's honourees.

Since leaving the corporate world behind to pursue his philanthropic passion, Wood's nonprofit foundation has brought the gift of education to 16.8 million underpriveleged children around the world—and counting.

At last year's Gen.T Party, Hong Kong Tatler purchased a copy of Wood's book Purpose, Incorporated for every 2018 honouree, with all proceeds going to Room to Read.
