Get to know the popular Thai quartet ahead of their Shooting Star Asia Tour concert happening in Singapore this weekend on March 11
While Korean stars have been taking the world by storm for over a decade, the spotlight seems to have shifted. These days, we have seen various Thai stars catching the attention of international audiences including eagle-eyed social media users in Singapore.
Case in point: F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers’ handsome quartet, Vachirawit Chivaaree (Bright), Metawin Opas-iamkajorn (Win), Jirawat Sutivanichsak (Dew), and Hirunkit Changkham (Nani).
In 2021, the swoon-worthy quartet took on lead roles in the hit Thai drama, F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers, where they star as Thyme (Bright), Kavin (Win), Ren (Dew) and MJ (Nani). The quartet quickly won hearts in Asia and beyond for their charming looks and impeccable acting.
The popular series marks the fourth adaptation of Yoko Kamio’s manga, Hana Yori Dango, and follows Gorya, a working-class girl as she gets involved in the lives of the F4 clique—her school’s most popular group of rich and handsome boys. Other adaptations of the manga include the South Korean classic, Boys over Flowers, and also the Taiwanese series, Meteor Garden.
Due to the popularity of the series, the quartet gained international fame and has since begun their Shooting Star Asia Tour, where they will make stops in Hong Kong, Tokyo and Singapore. The concert will see the cast members singing hit songs from their series, including Shooting Star and Who Am I.
