It’s no secret that after its premiere on Christmas Day in 2020, Bridgerton quickly earned a large and wide fanbase. The romantic and scandalous drama shot to the top of Netflix’s charts almost immediately and as of October 2021, a whopping 82 million accounts had watched the series.  

The show was renewed for a second season early this year and now, after months of anticipation, fans will be delighted to know that their favourite aristocrats will be returning to Netflix on March 25, 2022. The cast, including leads Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley, made the announcement in a special video (see below)—appropriately enough, reading from Lady Whistledown's letter.

Bridgerton is a show that follows an aristocratic family whose daughter, Daphne Bridgerton, is entering her first season to find an eligible suitor. 

When she meets Simon Bassett, the Duke of Hastings, trouble ensues as the pair enter into a mutually beneficial relationship that will get them both out of having to be paraded around and married off. 

In season two of the series, the show will keep with the tradition of the Julia Quinn novels it was inspired by as it tells the romantic story of Lord Anthony Bridgerton’s (Bailey) quest for love.
