The fourth animal in the 12-year cycle according to Chinese astrology, the Rabbit is a zodiac animal that represents people born in 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011, and 2023.
The Year of the Water Rabbit is a sub-component of the Rabbit that applies to those born in 1963. This is because Chinese astrology also incorporates the five elements—water, metal, wood, earth, and fire—and the zodiac moves through a different element each year.
