With major cosmic shifts happening next week, Tatler’s astrologer Casey Chan explains what it means for each star sign
Shortly after last week’s Virgo New Moon, this year’s Virgo season comes to a close with some dynamic interactions with our outer planets. On September 19, the Sun in Virgo stands in opposition to Neptune in Pisces—this transit can symbolise tension between the ego (the Sun) and the ego-less (Neptune). On this day, pay attention to things that are not working and the part of us that wants to cling on to these failing plans. The universe is supporting us with heightened sensitivity, our job is simply to allow intuitive guidance, even when the ego wants to take over.
The next day, the Sun comes to trine Pluto in Capricorn, which activates the part of us that knows the value of directional clarity and hard work. It’s a good time to get clarity on our goals and lay out the specific steps to get there.

The Sun entering Libra on September 23 symbolises the shifting of a season, as it is also the day of autumn equinox in the northern hemisphere. Before we celebrate this transition, we could make the most out of our current season by contemplating all things related to health, service and habits, as Virgo is an expert at using the body as a vessel in service of the greater good. Virgo in her essence honours the mundane as much as she honours the divine; above all, she knows to care for the body well, knowing that our physical and spiritual bodies are always in communication with one another. This week, meditate on the word “purpose” and ask yourselves: what would I like to offer the world? What can I first offer to myself, specifically my body?
