Looking for some guidance for the beginning of October? Here’s Tatler’s weekly horoscope for the week of October 3 to 9

Welcome back to our weekly astrology series led by Hong Kong-based Western astrologer, De Rui.

The Sun, Mars, and Mercury converge to bring fiery exchanges and bigger egos. Meanwhile, the New Moon in Libra reminds us to keep fairness and balance in mind. Pluto turns direct after a long retrograde period. Venus entering Sagittarius next weekend brings more light-hearted fun.

Reflecting on relationships

Stars signs affected the most: Aries and Libra could achieve greater self-understanding.

The New Moon this week is happening in the sign of Libra, where Mercury and Mars have also been transiting for some time. Important relationships, if they are not already the main theme, are deserving of reflection and contemplation. Is there enough give-and-take? Do you and the people around you feel heard and respected? Now is the time to set some intentions and goals for the coming weeks, and you will be able to make some real strides.

Fiery energies

Stars signs affected the most: Cancer and Capricorn may need to take a time out.

The Sun finally catches up to Mars this week, just in time to meet Mercury retrograding back in their direction. This confluence of energies will bring fiery exchanges and cause some loss of objectivity when it comes to what we think and what we want.

If channelled the right way—easier for those people with lots of planets in Air signs—these energies can also be an extremely energizing time when we can achieve much more than during normal times. If conflicts and clashes erupt in your life, try to take a few breaths before unleashing any wrath. Use exercise to release pent-up energies in your body.

Fun and adventures

Stars signs affected the most: Gemini is in prime position to reap rewards.

By the weekend, Venus makes a move into light-hearted, jolly Sagittarius, promising more fun and adventure in the coming weeks. We may be more willing to exchange views with others and to discuss our beliefs. Meanwhile, the planet of love and beauty also makes contact with Saturn and Mercury, suggesting that putting our thinking caps on or buckling down on some mental hard work could yield positive rewards.
