Open your heart and your mind this week as Venus moves into its home sign Libra. This is Tatler’s weekly horoscope for the week of August 15 to 21.

Welcome back to our weekly astrology series led by Hong Kong-based Western astrologer, De Rui.

Having an open heart and an open mind are the names of the game this week, as lovely Venus moves into its home sign Libra and Uranus turns retrograde for the rest of the year. Keep an eye out for a few dark clouds mid-week that could affect your self-confidence.

Feeling generous

Stars signs affected the most: Gemini, Libra and Aquarius may feel extra generous towards loved ones this week.

Romantic and dreamy vibes from the past few days are set to carry over into the first part of the week. Sacrificing our own desires to satisfy a partner can seem like a natural thing to do. With the planet of love and money, Venus, transiting into Libra, more refined and sophisticated forms of enjoyment seem to fit the bill. Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius can feel extra giving.

Keep your chin up

Stars signs affected the most: Leo and Virgo may need to fight off self-doubt.

Self-doubt can crop up mid-week as the Sun faces off against outer planets. Feelings of guilt or mental inferiority could cloud our view of ourselves at this time, so be sure to keep the self-talk positive. The challenge now is to avoid over- or under-estimating our contributions. Leo and Virgo should keep their chins up.

Get creative

Star signs affected the most: Taurus, Cancer, and Virgo may feel extra creative

By the weekend, being objective gets even harder when Mercury and Mars get together. We may become fixated on our views, particularly on how things should be improved. At the same time, we can count on innovative Uranus to support any brainstorming that we do. As long you don’t come on too strong, others could very well jump on board with your ideas. Taurus, Cancer, and Virgo can have some bright ideas.
