French pastry chef Cédric Grolet has been a household name in the world of pastries since bursting into the scene in 2018 with his trompe l'oeil creations (or desserts that bear an uncanny resemblance to the fruits they are inspired by). That being said, his pastry shops in London and Paris have attracted throngs of food lovers from around the world. 

Now, we don’t need to travel to Europe to have a taste of his desserts as Grolet has chosen Singapore to be the location of his first pastry shop in Asia. We speak to the man himself about partnering with Como Orchard to bring his brand to the island and what we can expect from his new outlet.

On October 5 and 6, executive chef Pedro Samper of Mosella will collaborate with executive chef Xerxes Bodhanwala of Peruvian restaurant Uma in Perth to craft an 11-course dinner menu that draws on Peruvian culinary traditions and their diverse culinary backgrounds.
