David Yip is a well-known chef, restaurateur, journalist and mentor to young chefs who want to make it in the F&B industry. With an impressive background, we’re inclined to trust his recommendations especially when it comes to Chinese food. For Teochew cuisine in particular, Yip tells us that its “freshness and quality of ingredients, especially in seafood”, and “deceptively simple methods” including “steaming, poaching, and braising” make it popular amongst gourmands. Having said that, we asked Yip to share his Teochew restaurant recommendations in Singapore to include in your gastronomic itinerary.
