Singapore debut

Hello,

After hosting pop-ups in Singapore over the past few years, revered Italian chef Massimo Bottura has finally opened his first permanent restaurant, Torno Subito, at Como Dempsey. At the first Asian outpost of Bottura’s one-Michelin-starred Dubai flagship at W Dubai - The Palm, diners will get a taste of the chef’s innovative takes on the culinary offerings of Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region.

Helming the kitchen is executive chef Alessio Pirozzi, an Italian native who has worked with Bottura at Osteria Francescana in Italy and Torno Subito in Dubai. At the Singapore outpost, watch him whip up creative dishes such as hand-made pasta, wood-fired pizzas and contemporary desserts. But for the best experience, opt for the six-course set menu, playfully titled “Ciao Singapore!”.

Arriving in splendid style is Kee’s, a modern European restaurant at boutique hotel 21 Carpenter, which is helmed by culinary director Andrew Walsh. Expect Walsh’s sophisticated yet unpretentious fare—the tuna tartare with Vietnamese and coconut dressing makes for an excellent starter, while the beef cheek rendang hits all the right spots.
