Law Kar-po

Chairman, Park Hotel Group

The Bossini apparel empire has become a successful property and hospitality group under Law Kar-Po’s stewardship

Law Kar-po is the chairman of the Park Hotel Group and Park Capital Group, which operate more than ten hotels in eight cities across five countries under the Grand Park and Park Hotel brands. He comes from a family that moved to Hong Kong penniless in the 1940s, with Kar-po and his father, Law Ting-pong, gradually building up a successful textile business, and eventually opening the first Bossini store in 1987.

The apparel brand and retailer now has nearly 1,000 stores around the world, while Kar-po has grown and diversified the company further, moving into property and hospitality with the purchase of Park Hotels in the 1990s.

He is married and has three children, of whom two, Wendy and Allen, are in the family business: Allen is CEO, after his father tapped him aged 24 to run the business, while lawyer Wendy is executive director, overseeing real estate investments.
