Keeping children entertained throughout the summer can be challenging, particularly during a year when travel is off-limits and families must come up with ideas for stimulating things to do around town. Multidisciplinary children’s clinic Young Folk Therapy in Mong Kok provides occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, counselling and dyslexia support for children and their families. In August, the centre is running a Ready, Set, Big School! programme, which uses games and activities to equip little ones moving from kindergarten to primary school with motor and communication skills. Charismatic youth pastor and musician Matt Snelgrove channels Jack Black’s rock-loving teacher in the film School of Rock with The Living Room, a music school for budding young performers in Sai Kung.
