Campus and facilities: The school has large, bright spaces for learning and play. Children spend their time in classrooms, shared areas and in the indoor and outdoor play areas. At ESF Abacus, the large outdoor area and an abundance of natural materials are used creatively by staff to encourage children to explore and interact with nature.

Competitive advantage: ESF Abacus offers two streams of Kindergarten education: English and Bilingual. The English programme is conducted in English with Putonghua as a specialist language, in which a Chinese teacher will teach sessions introducing students to Putonghua vocabulary and Chinese culture. The Bilingual programme is taught jointly by two teachers: one English and the other Chinese. All areas of curriculum are received in both languages, but there are differentiated sessions to meet the needs of each child. Children attend for three hours per day, five days per week. The average class size is 22 children and classes are structured into K1 and K2 groups.
