Common Room

Central

This Central bar and restaurant offers innovative cocktails and world-inspired tapas, with a modern industrial feel

Having opened in early 2013, Common Room has taken over an upper level space located on Wo On Lane and quickly become a constantly busy hotspot. With a loft-like and comfortable feel, the bar-cum-restaurant evokes a definite sense of industry. The leather chairs and booths, the engineered chevron oak flooring and the wrought-iron lighting fixtures all provide a chic ambience in which to enjoy one of the mixologists’ many delectable cocktails. Hailing from some of Hong Kong’s best bars, the bartenders never cease to concoct interesting and experimental drinks. A definite, if slightly feminine, favourite is the “Kiss from a Rose”, infused with lychee and topped with rose foam and a petal garnish. The Old Fashioned is delightfully strong with a hint of refreshing citrus from the rolled orange peel suspended in the drink. The bar also serves lunch and dinner service, offering up some world-inspired tapas that don’t disappoint.
