Perched on the third floor of the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel, Dynasty has a truly spectacular setting with simple, comfortable decor and floor-to-ceiling windows that offer a stunning panoramic view of the harbour and most of Kowloon side. Tables are spacious and placed discreetly, allowing privacy for those looking for an intimate dining experience.
Dynasty impresses with its Cantonese menu variety, offering an a la carte menu, a set menu and a menu consisting of Dynasty’s signature dishes. A must-try signature dish is the juicy barbecued pork. The perfectly crisp sugar-glazed coating and tender meat make this dish a true showstopper. One of the restaurant’s signature vegetable dishes is the braised egg bean curd with assorted mushrooms. Another outstanding dish is the tofu infused with a full-flavoured abalone sauce. Slightly chewy on the outside and tender on the inside, the tofu is cooked to perfection. Don't forget to opt for the boiled rice with spare ribs in black bean sauce instead of plain white rice. The boiled rice is cooked in a hot stone pot with the marinated spare ribs, infusing the rice with a flavour that pairs perfectly with any of the seafood, poultry, beef, pork or vegetable choices from the menu. Complete a satisfying meal with their palate cleansing mango pomelo sago cream made with fresh ingredients and served in a drinking glass.
Dynasty boasts an impressive wine list for a Cantonese restaurant, and the restaurant’s knowledgeable staff can offer recommendations for pairing wine with food. A very affordable (HK$105 for a generous pour) crisp and sweet house white - Chardonnay from Prelude Vineyards, Australia - was the perfect recommendation and paired perfectly with the dishes.
The outstanding service will ensure that your dining experience is a thoroughly enjoyable one. The highly competent staff is attentive at making sure your teacup is always full and your plate is always clean.
