At the business hotel East, the all-day dining restaurant Feast offers an international menu of dishes and a spacious place for hotel guests and visitors to dine. The high-ceilinged first-floor restaurant, with large windows down one side and a kitchen where diners can watch their food being prepared, also features antipasti and dessert buffets. For dinner, guests can enjoy oysters as well as other fresh shellfish and crustaceans as part of the buffet bar, along with a selection of imaginative salads. A freshly prepared main course accompanies the buffet option and the chicken biryani is well proportioned, if lightly spiced. From the à la carte menu, the tuna crudo starter features quality fish but is light on the seasoning. The wagyu beef burger holds its form well, isn’t overly greasy or dry, and is well built with Gruyère and caramelised onions. Dessert is reasonable but not outstanding—the chocolate fondant is well executed but accompanied by an unusual lemon cream whereas ice cream may have worked better, while at the sweets section of the buffet, the miniature desserts are plentiful but mostly disappointing. Staff are friendly and service is efficient. Overall, it’s a pleasant and stylish setting for a reasonable meal, though similar-quality food can likely be had elsewhere with less of a dent in the wallet.
