More than 60 years after Gaddi’s first opened its doors, they continue to serve up an unparalleled French fine dining experience. Interiors are luxurious with chandeliers and crisp white linen cloths lining the tables. There is always a sense of occasion when dining at Gaddi’s; at night, a live band provides soft tunes to enjoy with your meal. Servers are friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the menu, with a strong attention to detail. The well-seasoned creamy lobster soup is a favourite here, which is served with a generous portion of sliced poached lobster. The pan-fried Japanese amadai is equally satisfying with its meatiness and crispy skin that provides contrasting textures. The roasted Pyrenean lamb is beautifully presented; the meat is cooked to the correct doneness without any gamey characteristics. The impressive wine tome is not to be missed; if you’re having trouble selecting the perfect bottle to go with your meal, the sommelier will happily study your ordered dishes before making recommendations.
