Beach eats in Hong Kong have come a long way from ad-hoc shacks serving instant noodles—and nowhere showcases that more deliciously than Limewood. Part of Repulse Bay’s glossy The Pulse complex, this beachside restaurant is only a few steps away from the golden sands, with a suitably breezy, beachy ambience to match; think bleached woods, aquamarine colour pops and a mellow reggae-infused soundtrack. The menu takes inspiration from tropical islands around
 the world, including South East Asian, Caribbean and Hawaiian influences, with generous
 portion sizes that are ideal for sharing. Fresh fish and seafood feature heavily, with barbecued meats another speciality—as evidenced by the 48-hour charred beef ribs, which boast juicy fork-tender meat and a lip-smackingly good mango-infused barbecue sauce. The wine list features helpful tasting notes and a range of serving sizes, although more excitement lies in Limewood’s fruity cocktail selection – margaritas are a popular choice. With the sun shining, a casual relaxed atmosphere and a plethora of delicious dishes
 on your table, Limewood is 
pretty much everything a great beachside restaurant should be.
