Gordon Ramsay’s latest restaurant at Harbour City sees the celebrity chef’s revamp of British cuisine with a modern touch, best enjoyed with the panoramic Victoria Harbour view

As part of Harbour City’s expansion, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s Maze Grill takes over part of the Ocean Terminal extension. The set up is complete with a sizeable wraparound terrace, allowing for plenty of views towards Victoria Harbour. The wood-lined interior, matched with mahogany-toned soft leather sofas exudes
a sense of understated luxury throughout the elongated dining area. This Hong Kong branch of Ramsay’s iconic steakhouse and grill is the first outside of London (where there are three), bringing the Scottish chef’s unique British cuisine with modern Asian touches to the east. It’s where dishes
are enhanced with ingredients such as Japanese yuzu, or even preparations such as a Chinese-style hot and sour broth and spring roll, but the focus still lies in British cuisine. The restaurant’s traditional Ploughman’s pork pie is served tableside, while British butchers’ meat cuts are prepared on the Josper grill—both reminders of where Ramsay’s strength still lies after he claimed success with his career as a television personality. Service is keen and attentive at Maze Grill, and a night cap after dinner on the terrace is the best way to end each visit.

Tatler Tip

Maze Grill has a great terrace overlooking the famous Hong Kong skyline along the Victoria Harbour. It is also a wonderful venue for a night cap after dinner.
