Mr & Mrs Fox
Mr & Mrs Fox delivers beautifully presented, creative dishes in contemporary, laid back yet buzzy environs
There’s a buzz about Mr & Mrs Fox. Downstairs, Mrs Fox allows office workers from nearby Taikoo Place to share in sophisticated snacks, while upstairs, amidst continuing industrial chic design and atmospheric low lighting, friendly staff adds to the welcoming vibe at Mr Fox. The menu here promises creativity and the presented plates do not disappoint. First up, while the marinated artichoke may be under-seasoned, the hamachi terrine, is inventive in its combination of flavour as well as texture, with well-marinated fish paired with crisp seaweed crackers. The main courses are solid: the succulent pan-roasted sea bream enjoyable alongside the rich umami notes of the accompanying sea vegetables; while the dry-aged steak is full of beef flavour. To close, the yuzu chocolate cake is beautifully rich, yet the tangy citrus cuts through resulting in a surprisingly refreshing sweet. The drinks list is not necessarily for the wine lover looking for something special, but has signature cocktails, local craft beers and an extensive gin list to choose from.
Tatler Tip
Mrs Fox, downstairs, offers a more casual selection of elevated bar snacks, sharing plates and sweet treats, while upstairs’ Mr Fox is where the culinary magic happens.
