Nicholini's

Italian   |   $ $ $ $   |   Admiralty

Exceptional customer service and sweeping city views are the main draw for this longstanding hotel restaurant

Located on the eighth floor
of the Conrad Hong Kong, Nicholini’s is the hotel’s signature restaurant, striving to serve
both classic and contemporary Northern Italian dishes. The atmosphere and decor may be
a little lacking in imagination,
but all that is forgotten as
you are ushered thoughtfully over ridiculously thick carpets
to your table set against a backdrop of Hong Kong’s famous skyscrapers. The fresh burrata, combined with fava bean pesto and sun-dried tomatoes is quintessentially Northern Italian cuisine presented on a plate. The lamb rack was really the
star of the show, a meat lover’s delight served with roasted carrots and artichokes on the side—vegetables that were easily overlooked, given the generous piece of roasted lamb on top. Like the dishes, the service was impeccable but simple, the
staff unintrusive and far from pretentious, though they do know a thing or two about their extensive selection of wines.
The staff will not hesitate to recommend a wine pairing
 to ensure that you will
have the ultimate dining experience.

Tatler Tip

The wide variety of dishes offered on their menu demands an equally large variety of wine. Don’t hesitate to ask for recommendations; you’ll be glad you did.
