Designed by Ashley Sutton (also the brainchild of Bangkok’s Iron Fairies and Maggie Choos), who was inspired by Hong Kong’s rich and vibrant culture, Ophelia brings alive an immersive new experience with some of the most sought after entertainment in town. Behind thick velvet curtains is a surreal peacock palace, with a dreamlike atmosphere and motifs featuring the proud creature – from the Chinese archways to the stainless steel industrial art pieces to metal fans in the terrace area. Ophelia’s drink list is as rich and impressive as its surroundings. Signature cocktails include The Jade Cat - a concoction of Iwai Japanese whiskey, Baika Ranman umeshu, bitter green tea liqueur and The Cheongsam, created with Tequila Reposado, pomegranate cordial, vermouth rouge, lemon, lime and cinnamon mist, stunningly presented in a lit up birdcage. Apart from innovative drinks, there’s also shared tapas dishes on the menu - think arancini with green goddess sauce and whole school prawns fried with Sichuan pepper – all deliciously addictive.
