Temptations is located at the 16th floor of the Starworld Macau and is a stylish and contemporary restaurant. The room is made up of beautiful wood colours, high ceilings and a glass-enclosed kitchen set in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. There are some semi private bird cage shaped booths if you prefer but overall the restaurant has a nice cozy feel to it with comfortable seats, tables lined with white linen, polished silverware and a fine selection of glassware.
Temptations has a wide selection of modern contemporary continental and international delicacies with signature Portuguese and Macanese dishes on the menu including African chicken and the arroz de ariscos. We started with the octopus carpaccio with lime sorbet, it is one of the chef’s creations and the tartness of the sorbet went very well with the tasty octopus. Followed by the French blue mussels in white wine, this is the French classic Moules marinière dish, which is done very well here. The mussels are jet-flown, fresh and very tender with an intense flavour. We enjoyed the arroz de ariscos which is a Portuguese seafood and rice dish combining prawns, mussels and clams, there are many versions in Macau but this one is fully recommended. Portions are generous so sharing is just one of the many options at Temptations.
A good selection of international wines including a wide-ranging selection of both old and new worlds can be found at Temptations. The choice of wines by the glass is also good along with the amazing huge selection of different whiskies from around the world. If wine is not your poison then check out the many creative cocktails on offer.
Friendly and competent service at Temptations, attentive without being intrusive and the service flowed along like clockwork. The head waitress was really professional and knowledgeable.
A three-course dinner for two with wines will come to over MOP1000, good value for money for a hotel fine dining restaurant in Macau.
