An elevated take on the traditional izakayas of Japan, The Aubrey serves up casual bites—think charcoal chicken karaage and flavoursome salads; a solid selection of robata dishes, with Kagoshima Wagyu making a frequent appearance; as well as opulent signatures like oysters served with Hokkaido uni and salmon roe, and a white miso souffle dessert. Perhaps its most outstanding feature, however, is the carefully curated selection of rare Japanese tipples and brewed rice wines: alongside sparkling sake and signature cocktails, there’s a sizeable list of drinks where shochu takes centre stage—and they’re a must-try for picky drinkers.
