The Verandah

Timeless and elegant surroundings, with excellent produce across multiple cuisines, means the Verandah’s buffet is the gold standard in Hong Kong

In a dining landscape where service is an increasingly-important differentiator, The Verandah at The Peninsula excelled with gracious, warm and genuine attention throughout in the light-filled and elegant surroundings. Their extensive (but not wasteful) lunchtime and evening buffet was the first ever launched in a Hong Kong hotel way back in 1933 and their experience shows to this day. The spread is generous, predicated on quality ingredients and impressive execution, featuring truly something for everyone from good sushi and sashimi to salads, antipasti to cheeses, as well as both Western and Chinese style roast meats. Cantonese and Indian dishes also stood
out, particularly with authentic spicing and delicate touches. Desserts
are a similarly impressive spread, with their house-made ice creams and chocolates the perfect way to round things off. Come hungry and make
the most of a generous drinks package which can include either wine, champagne or both.

Tatler Tip

Few venues are as iconic or storied as The Peninsula, so The Verandah’s buffet makes for the perfect stop for out-of-town visitors.
