WOOBAR

Tsim Sha Tsui

Loungey without that staid lobby-bar feel, Woobar still has the pulling power to attract quite a crowd.

Despite a slightly off-the-beaten-track West Kowloon locale, W Hotel’s Woobar attracts a diverse clientele eager to sip libations and enjoy the harbour view beneath its double-height ceilings. Welcoming bar staff gladly direct your attention towards the cocktails, which are organised into two succinct suites: classic and contemporary. Of these, the latter offers more interesting options with the Yuzu Blossom and the abominably monikered Asian Lady as the bar’s signatures. The first is a heady mix of sake, aged Japanese whisky, yuzu and a tantalising hint of wasabi, completed with a crisp sliver of apple. Wines are also accessible and hail largely from the New World, while spirits are extensive and champagne is free-flow.
