1. Hong Kong Philharmonic Season Opening

Where: Hong Kong Cultural Centre

What: A trilogy of programmes with piano star Yuja Wang, featuring Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Beethoven and Mahler, raises the curtain on the HK Phil’s 2017/18 season under the orchestra’s music director, Jaap van Zweden.

2. Centrestage Hong Kong: Asia's Fashion Spotlight

When: September 6-9

Where: Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre

What: Now in its second edition, Centrestage runs from September 6-9, 2017 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre with events including the Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers' Contest (YDC), fashion shows, trend seminars and designer sharing sessions.

With three zones—Glam, Metro and Allure—Centrestage welcomes fashion designers and companies with original brands or licensees of brand names.

3. Vipassana

Where: Hong Kong Cultural Centre

What: Immerse yourself in mindfulness accompanied by the sounds of singing bowls and live improvised music in this one-of-a-kind holistic experience by the Hong Kong Dance Company, presented by HKDC Artistic Director Yang Yuntao, renowned scenographer Tsang Man-tung and award-winning composer Law Wing-fai.

4. David Kadouch Plays Saint-Saëns

Where: Hong Kong City Hall

What: The French piano virtuoso plays the composer’s renowned Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta under the baton of award-winning conductor Perry So.

5. Road to Ultra: Hong Kong

Where: West Kowloon Cultural District

What: DJs Hardwell, Kygo and Zedd headline the second Hong Kong edition of the global electronic dance music phenomenon. Expect a twice-bigger stage, an impressive lineup of international talents, and all-night partying.

6. OneRepublic

Where: AsiaWorld-Expo

What: Alternative-rock band OneRepublic—whose chart-topping repertoire of sweeping, stadium-ready anthems include Apologise, All the Right Moves, Secrets and Good Life, returns to Hong Kong with a one-night-only performance. Lead singer/songwriter Ryan Tedder alongside bassist Brent Kutzle, guitarists Zach Filkins and Drew Brown, and drummer Eddie Fisher are set to bring the house down with their signature energy, unabashed emotion and masterful arrangements.

7. The Complete Works of William Shakespeare

8. Ariana Grande

10. Priscilla Queen of the Desert
