WHO: Mahnaz Lee, co-founder of Women Helping Women Hong Kong, married to David Lee, mother of two.

HER WORLD: Mahnaz’s dressing room is easily the size of a small apartment and feels like a boutique. “I co-designed this room with our architect,” she says. “I knew exactly what I wanted.” From the island of drawers housing her collection of clutches to the rows of Valentino and Badgley Mischka, no detail has been overlooked.

JUST RIGHT: Everything Mahnaz owns is tailored to fit like a glove; no sleeve is too long, no dress is too fitted and no skirt is too short.

THE LBD: Mahnaz has a weakness for the little black dress, “I love them for the silhouette. I’m petite so it really suits my figure.” She has at least 20 of them in different variations and from a range of designers.

IN THE BAG: “People used to always dress according to what was trendy at the time,” she says, “so I found myself buying seasonal pieces, then a decade or so ago I decided to only buy classic handbags, because they never go out of style.” That explains the many Hermès handbags in her collection, from her first cream Kelly bag acquired in the ’90s to her latest acquisition, a black alligator Birkin.

SIXTH SCENT: The ultimate girly girl, Mahnaz says you can never have too many fragrances. She loves to collect perfume, as evidence by a tray holding at least 30 different types. Her favourite scent? Anything by Chanel or Dior.

TWINKLE TOES: “I think people would be surprised to find these ballet slippers in my closet,” says Mahnaz. “I always held on to them in the hope that I would take up ballet again, but it never happened, so I’m just keeping them for the memories and because they are beautiful.”
