Pansy Ho, the eldest daughter of Macau gaming tycoon Stanley Ho, has reportedly invested in real estate in one of Hong Kong’s most exclusive neighbourhoods, The Peak.

According to the South China Morning Post (SCMP), the mansion cost in the region of HK$900 million, with property records showing that it spans over 5,579 square feet, has a private pool and large garden over 7,480 square feet. If correct, the purchase will make Pansy the proud owner of the second most expensive home in Asia.

Delving further, the SCMP spoke to Denis Ma, JLL’s head of Hong Kong research, who remarked: “The Peak is still the prime location where wealthy people like to buy houses, not just the local tycoons but also investors from mainland China.”

In his opinion, “the price is in line with other properties sold on The Peak, where houses very rarely come on the market.”

Pansy chairs property developer Shun Tak Holdings which runs the Macau ferries and operates a number of luxury hotels. She is also the managing director of Sociedade de Turismo e Diversões de Macau (Tourism and Entertainment Company of Macau Limited). It seems she’ll also now have her hands full redecorating.
