The entrepeneur and socialite tells us how she always stays on top of her game

Those who are familiar with Jaime Ku know that she’s married to Benedict, she’s a mother of two, and she seems to be doing a million things at once. She’s no stranger to the city’s social circuit – as the managing partner of Buzz Concepts, the group behind hotspots such as Lily, Bloom, Fly, Volar, and Tiger Curry; and Buzz Agency, a leading boutique public relations agency repsonsible for some of the most exclusive events the city has seen.

We speak to the mother, wife, and fun-trepeneur about how she manages to wear multiple hats on a daily basis and why a great team is what inspires and drives her to keep moving ahead of the rest:

Hong Kong is home – always has been and always will be.

Buzz Concepts is all about creating unique and memorable experiences for clients, customers, and friends through our various F&B outlets whether it’s Lily, Bloom, Tiger Curry, and Volar or through the events that Buzz Agency curates.

My proudest accomplishment has to be my family, my husband and two beautiful daughters. I’m also very grateful for and proud of my partners at Buzz Concepts and my wonderful team at Buzz Agency – I don’t think I could be where I am today without them in my life.

I’m not the type of person that looks back. I feel that you learn from your mistakes but I always believe its important to focus and live in the moment and be able to envision your future.

There are so many amazing people who inspire me everyday – too many to mention by name. I find people truly fascinating, whether its their jobs, simple gestures or something they say, I’m always inspired by people whether their impact is big or small.

The best aspect of running your own business would have to be having the freedom to write your own rules. I love the business model I created, the working culture is quite horizontal and it allows me to make decisions quickly that can change things for the better.

My advice for budding entrepeneurs is to find your place in this world, discover your passion and interests and find a way to make a living from that – by all means you should live a life where you love what you do

I don’t focus on the end goal – but on the journey that it takes to get there, wherever it may be. I guess I just always want to be a great role model for my kids

I hope I’m able to slow down in ten years, the business that I’m in forces you to be in the know – here’s hoping I’m still relevant in ten years!

My words to live by are simple: “Treat everyone how you would like to be treated. Be humble. One never ceases to learn everyday.”
