When we asked the arts provocateur and founder of the iconic brand for his thoughts on how he would define luxury lifestyle, the answers were certainly one of a kind

Douglas Young – arts advocate and founder of boundary-pushing design brand G.O.D – was our cover star for the Art Issue of Hong Kong Tatler and, knowing his penchant for the unusual and the thought-provoking, we just had to have him back to take part in the #WeAreHongKongTatler campaign.

If you are reading this, you’ll notice that we have a brand new look – and in the midst of our transformation, we went back to identify the things that really represented what the Hong Kong Tatler brand is all about. Time and time again, we returned to the same concept – it’s all about the people.

These are the individuals – the tastemakers, the trailblazers – who have defined the sphere that we inhabit, and it’s exactly why we’ve relaunched our site with the #WeAreHongKongTatler hashtag.

We posed Young a series of questions, seeking his take on what defines the Hong Kong Tatler lifestyle and his vision on real luxury – and his answers certainly hit the mark.

“I think Hong Kong Tatler is about culture – it's about the culture of Hong Kong, it's about social, it's about history, it's about art, it's about what's happening,” said Young, on-set at the G.O.D store in Central’s PMQ.

“Let's take pride in being who we are,” he added.

Keep an eye out as we release one new video each day over the next week, each time featuring a different tastemaker, to celebrate the relaunch of HongKongTatler.com.
