The Academy Ball creates a unique opportunity to shine the spotlight on HKAPA talents

The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts is an institution dedicated to nurturing the talents of the artistically-inclined from a young age. As one of the leading institutions of the performing arts in Hong Kong, the Academy sees students studying a wide range of disciplines, from dance to music to entertainment.

For Winnie Chiu , the Chairlady of the Academy Ball Committee, the HKAPA has become a vital part of Hong Kong's ripening arts and culture scene by developing the up-and-coming artists of the community. As part of the Society of the Academy for Performing Arts (SAPA), the fundraising arm of HKAPA, she is an integral part of supporting these young talents. In its 27 years of history, the SAPA has raised over 950 scholarships for HKAPA students. As well, Harris Chan, a member of the Academy Ball Committee, was inspired by the talent of the students to join in supporting this worthy cause. Watch the exclusive interview as we give you an insider look of the HKAPA in the video above.
