Vote now for the women who call for social justice

In partnership with the Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation, Hong Kong Tatler is recognizing some of the city’s most inspirational women. From the medicine to the environment, the nominees for the Women of Hope awards have all truly dedicated themselves to making a difference.

One category for the nominees is “Children’s Advocate,” recognizing those women who have shown an active commitment to advocating for children. The nominees for this category are Alia Eyres, Claudine Ying, Margaret Chung & Hersha Chellaram, and Poman Lo.

Eyres is the CEO of Mother’s Choice. Her nonprofit provides support to young women in crisis and children without families in Hong Kong. She also established MC Links, which gathers support for Mother’s Choice from a network of young professionals.

Ying is the founder of Bebegarten. Her company, an innovative learning centre, serves as an alternative in early childhood education for parents and their children. She also makes time for involvement in the Yanai Foundation, a charity that promotes education for underprivileged children in China.

Chung and Chellaram founded Art in Your Life. Their company offers special-needs children in Hong Kong a bilingual program combining yoga and art therapy.

Lo launched the Bodhi Love Foundation. The initiative works to provide underprivileged children with much-needed health and educational support. Lo is a two-time winner of The Outstanding Young Persons Award by Junior Chamber International.
