Ahead of the big watches extravaganza that is Baselworld, here is a sneak peek at some of the incredible timepieces that will be presented

1. Breguet Classique Tourbillon Extra-Plat Automatique 5367

In this pared down timepiece, Breguet presents a grand feu enamelled dial—a first for the Grandes Complication series. The watch features a tourbillon with a hand-bevelled bar topped by a spinel. The piece is fitted with an extra-thin movement measuring just 3mm and comes in a rose gold or platinum case.

2. Graff MasterGraff Ultra Flat Tourbillon Métiers D’Art

Just one of Graff ’s métiers d’art MasterGraff timepieces with Asian inspirations, this model boasts exquisite micro- painting and enamelling. The 43mm watch features a flying tourbillon housed in a remarkably slim case of platinum or rose gold. A version with a diamond- encrusted bezel is available. 

3. Zenith Pilot Cronometro Tipo CP-2

Zenith revisits one of its iconic lines from the 1960s, the Heritage Cronometro Tipo CP-2—or the Cairelli, as it’s known among its most avid followers. The 2018 edition features an El Primero column-wheel chronograph and a flyback function in a bronze or aged stainless steel case.                                                                                                                                                                                     

 

4. Harry Winston Emerald

Inspired by art deco lines and named after Harry Winston’s favourite diamond cut, the Emerald collection gets even more feminine this year with a pink version featuring a mother- of-pearl dial framed by white diamonds, four pink sapphires, a fully studded bezel, and a dainty double pink strap.

5. Chopard LUC Quattro

With its silver-toned and vertical satin-brushed dial matched with hour indicators and hands in a rich blue hue, the new LUC Quattro is a casually elegant timepiece. Ticking inside this handsome piece is a slim, COSC- certified movement with a nine-day power reserve.

6. Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Moon Black Enamel

In this piece, Jaquet Droz presents the moonphase complication in a mysterious yet utterly luxurious way. The black grand feu enamelled dial displays a black onyx moon disc featuring star appliqués in 18K red gold and a moon crafted in 22K gold.

7. Tag Heuer Connected Modular 45 Full Diamond

With a case, lugs and bracelet crafted in white gold and paved with 589 baguette- cut diamonds totalling over 23 carats, this is the most expensive connected watch in the world. Beneath its dazzling surface, it has all the features everyone loves in the Connected 45, such as the GPS function and an NFC sensor for payments.

8. Bulgari Octo Tourbillon Sapphire

On a hunt for a really cool watch? Consider the Bulgari Octo Tourbillon, which is crafted from DLC-coated titanium and has a transparent caseback that provides a stunning view of the flying tourbillon movement, whose luminiscent bridges also serve as the watch’s hour indicators.

Blancpain’s complete calendar GMT complication debuted in 2002, and this year makes a comeback with its array of practical features, and enhanced with the manufacture’s patented hidden lug correctors--an aesthetic bonus as it gives the piece a clean, streamlined profile.

The piece comes in two versions: one in red gold case with an opaline dial and applied red gold Roman indices, and the other in stainless steel case with a white dial and white gold applied Roman indices.
