Every two years, some of the finest watchmakers create one-of-a-kind timepieces that will go under the hammer at the Only Watch 2019 charity auction for research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy

The eighth edition of the Only Watch 2019 charity auction will feature 50 unique watches and tour the world in October, including stops at The Hour Glass in Singapore (25 – 26 October) and Christie’s in Hong Kong (28 – 29 October), before the actual auction on 9 November 2019 at the Four Seasons Hôtel des Bergues in Geneva.

For a taste of what to expect, here’s a look 13 unique Only Watch pieces that luxury watch companies have donated to the auction.

1. Patek Philippe

Patek Philippe’s contribution is the exceptional Grandmaster Chime with 20 complications that boasts two dials in rose gold and black ebony.

2. Jaeger-LeCoultre

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Enamel Chestnut is given a hand-guilloched enamel dial with sunburst effect in chestnut brown, striking a gorgeous contrast against the white gold case.

3. Blancpain

Blancpain’s emblematic dive model, the Fifty Fathoms, is finished with blue luminescence on the hour markers, hands and bezel.

4. Montblanc

Montblanc combines a 44mm case in titanium grade 2 with a dial in blue agate for its donation, the 1858 Split Second Chronograph.

The Hublot Classic Fusion Tourbillon Sapphire Orlinski is a cool vision in cerulean blue thanks to 54 baguette topazes set on the white gold bezel.

6. Audemars Piguet

Audemars Piguet fashioned the Code 11.59 Tourbillon Openworked in a two-tone case - 18k pink gold case middle as well as 18k white gold bezel, lugs and caseback.

7. Girard-Perregaux

The Laureato Absolute Chronograph is dressed up in lightweight black PVD titanium case with shades of blue on the dial, pushers and strap.

8. Louis Vuitton

The Louis Vuitton 2019 Escale Spin Time boasts the tattoo art of a rose created by hand by famed enameller Anita Porchet.

9. H. Moser & Cie.

H. Moser & Cie. presents its Endeavour Perpetual Moon Concept watch with a dial in Vantablack that is composed of carbon nanotubes capable of absorbing nearly 100% of light.

10. Bovet

The elegance of the oval shape Bovet’s Recital 23 “Hope” takes a whimsical turn with a hand-painted fairy seated on a crescent moon in the hour-and-minute counter, right below the hemispherical moon phase with engraved elements.

11. Ulysse Nardin

The Exo-Skeleton X from Ulysse Nardin features a skeleton dial with four markers forming an ‘X’. Flexible double blades attached to the case and lugs allow movement between the lug bar and the case for a more comfortable fit on the wrist.

12. Ferdinand Berthoud

For its first Only Watch donation, Ferdinand Berthoud presents Chronometre FB 1 “Night Star” in anthracite-cermaised titanium case with black frosted dial. The white gold numerals and hands are coated in white Superluminova, the first time the watchmaker has ever done this.

13. Frederique Constant

Frederique Constant’s Only Watch 2019 is the Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar with a skeletonised meteorite dial tinted in blue.
