We're in the thick of London Fashion Week, which is, as always, a whirlwind of collections and presentations. From heavy-hitters to the up-and-coming, read on for our take on the latest runways from the first two days of shows, and the upcoming trends for Autumn/Winter 2017.

Teatum Jones AW17

The London-based design duo of Teatum Jones have gone from strength to strength since winning the Woolmark Prize, and this particular show did not fall short in making a statement on all levels, from powerful music to a diverse cast of models, including two amputees. Uneven lengths, layered textures and varied silhouettes proved that clothes can cater to anyone and everyone.

Eudon Choi AW17

This collection is a testament to the South Korean designer’s greatest strength—his tailoring. The precise proportion of even his most oversized silhouettes flatter, rather than obscure the female frame. Meanwhile, draped silks and chunky knits demonstrated his mastery of menswear techniques to formulate classic women’s wear.

Ryan Lo AW17

The Hong Kong designer’s tenth season saw a collection full of fun and celebratory spirit—in an homage to Japan’s Harajuku district, the runway was an explosion of every possible variation of pink. The appearance of global icon Hello Kitty, cheekily printed all over shimmering silk gowns, made a perfect pairing, although perhaps, not for the faint of heart.

Ports 1961 showcased an overall very grand collection, portraying a diverse array of textures and shapes. Giant shimmering sequins and draped knits all referenced articles from the designer's inspiration, ranging from worldly travels to the comforts of home.

J.W. Anderson AW17

There was no shortage of textures and shapes to admire at J.W. Anderson. From silky metallics to feathers, to billowy skirts to shiny, sleek jumpsuits, to a number of asymmetrical hems—what more could a girl ask for? 

Simone Rocha AW17

Diversity showed up again at Simone Rocha, where models of all ages graced the runway including the legendary Jan de Villeneuve, Marie Sophie Wilson and Benedetta Barzini, proving that fashion is ageless. The latest collection doesn't stray too far from Rocha's signature pastoral style, instead refining it with a heavy military influence, accented with rich fabrics like velvet and fur.
