Aimee Song is one of the most photographed women in fashion and fashion week is one of her busiest time of the year. We grabbed a moment with this busy lady to chat favourite songs, jokes and fashion.

Tatler Asia: Tell me about your role with Revolve? Did you have a specific idea of what you wanted the collection to be before you started working with them?

Aimee Song: I've been working with Revolve for the past seven years and having my brand Song of Style launch on Revolve just made sense. I already knew what I wanted to create as I've been blogging for the past 10 years. Working with Revolve to create the collection was seamless as I was able to focus on the creatives and marketing aspects (my strengths) and they helped me with all the production.

TA: What has surprised you the most about having a collection?

AS: I knew there would be a lot of work going into it but I didn't envision how much work it would be. It's not just about creating but there's so much technical and analytic aspects to having a standalone brand. Also, I didn't realise how many people are involved in making one piece of garment. It's cool that most of us working on the line are women too!

TA: Who and what is exciting you lately?

AS: When I meet people who wear Song of Style in real life, that excites me. I'm currently at fashion week and I spotted so many girls wearing Song of Style to the shows. It's really flattering that they chose to wear my pieces that I designed to a show. Also, when people celebrate special moments in Song of Style. That makes me so happy.

TA: Favourite fashion moment of the summer?

AS: Has to be going on a Song of Style trip to Portugal.

TA: If you could be transported to any shoots, past or present, which one would it be?

AS: When Peter Lindbergh shot all the supermodels back in the 90s. Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington. That's pretty iconic.

TA: What is your favourite song on repeat right now?

AS: Moon River. My boyfriend and I have a long distance relationship and he just sang that song for me this morning and now I'm listening to almost every version of Moon River. Frank Ocean's, Carla Bruni to Andy William's original. Listening to this song reminds me of him and puts a smile on my face.

TA: What was the last item of clothing you bought?

AS: I bought a pair of Saint Laurent cowboy boots.

TA: If I gave you $10 now, what would you do with it?

AS: Would leave it in my hotel room as a tip for the housekeeper.

TA: Tell me a joke.

AS: I want time to sit and read, snack, and nap. Basically, I want to be in Kindergarten.
