Discover the new additions to Hermès' Arceau L’Heure de la Lune collection
Hermès has added five new watches to its Arceau L’Heure de la Lune collection, which was first unveiled just last year. Technically identical to 2019’s two pieces, this year’s additions similarly showcase the brand’s otherworldly double moonphase complication, but they come with new dial options. Two stationary mother-of-pearl moons are joined by floating lacquer subdials that rotate around the watch’s face once every 59 days, covering and uncovering the moons to indicate the current moonphase in both the southern and northern hemispheres. One dial depicts the hours and minutes and the other shows the date.

Black Sahara Meteorite
Last year’s Arceau L’Heure de la Lune designs had dials made of aventurine, which is a midnight-blue mineral glass. This year, Hermès has introduced three different meteorite dials. This Black Sahara meteorite version is decorated with silver-lacquered mobile counters and black transferred Arabic numerals, which add to the watch’s unearthly feel.
Henri D'Origny
Hermès’s legendary designer Henri D’Origny designed the case used for the Arceau L'Heure de la Lune, which comes in white gold and measures 43 mm, back in 1978.
