There’s no denying it: navigating the ever-growing market of beauty products—with its constant influx of new products, promotions and limited editions every month—can be a challenge even for the most avid beauty buyers. But, luckily for you, Tatler editors have the scoop on which items are worth trying, buying and incorporating in our beauty routines—and they’re happy to share their top picks with you.

Gisou Honey Infused Lip Oil

This just might be the chicest lip oil in town. The sleek packaging alone is enough to make you swoon, but wait until you try it. It’s lightweight, which means it glides on effortlessly, and it’s nourishing due to its blend of Mirsalehi honey.

Hong Kong weather tends to make my lips really dry and this has made my lips smoother than silk—and who doesn’t love a little sparkle? I apply it in the morning under my lipstick and again before bed. Game changer!

Dior L’Or de J’adore

The legendary perfumier Francis Kurkdjian has once again created a scent for Dior Beauty. The new L’Or de J’adore is a velvety and floral fragrance perfect for those who have an affinity for sensual scents. There are notes of jasmine, rose and lily of the valley—but no single bloom takes precedence. What you’ll experience instead is a balanced floral impression that is unique and captures the essence of flowers.

What I love most about this new perfume lies in its overall aesthetic. The iconic silhouette of the J’adore fragrance bottle remains with a few key differences such as the new gold design complete with a finishing touch in the form of a glass bead set on the lid.

Noble Panacea Hydrating Preparation Essence

While I might occasionally cheat on my skincare routine, one thing I do religiously is keep my skin hydrated every single day. I’ve recently taken to using Noble Panacea’s Hydrating Preparation Essence from its Elemental Collection, and its lightweight formula of hyaluronic acid, red algae fraction, copper tripeptide and ginseng extract helps my skin feel moisturised and supple throughout the day.

It’s packaged in 30 individual sachets that can be opened separately and contains just the right amount of product for a single application, so I don’t have to worry about whether I am using too much or too little everyday.

Christian Louboutin Rouge Louboutin Velvet Matte On The Go

I don’t often leave the house without wearing lipstick, and it’ll always be some iteration of a matte brick red shade. For me, it’s especially necessary that it has an orange undertone as that works best with my complexion. Christian Louboutin recently hit the nail on the head with its Rouge Louboutin Velvet Matte On The Go lipstick in Burning Babe. It applies smoothly, smells divine and doubles as a great cream blush to create a quick and cohesive look.

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Supercharged Gel-Crème

Beauty and skincare products can be a touchy issue for men. While much has been said about inclusivity and representation, there is still a lot of work left to be done.  It was a great leap forward for Estée Lauder to launch celebrity photographer BJ Pascual as one of their ambassadors in the Asia Pacific region.

It gives visibility for guys—or anyone on the gender spectrum for that matter—who are not afraid to express themselves freely. And it’s not just all marketing! The brand’s newest Advanced Night Repair Eye Supercharged Gel-Crème doesn’t disappoint, as I apply it overnight and wake up without puffiness.

Amuse Dew Tint

I’m at a point where I feel like the beauty industry is over-saturated and with things that are all very similar—one eyeshadow palette can be easily replaced by another, and with skincare I just feel there’s more clever rewording than actual innovation.

I’m so impressed with Korean brand Amuse, which just joined the Sephora Hong Kong family this year. It’s great to see an Asian beauty brand carrying foundation shades that work for darker skin tones, and I love their Dew Tint. It’s a long-lasting glossy lip tint that is hydrating and comfortable on the lips, comes in such fun shades, and honestly lasted through cups of coffee and a meal without fading in that weird patchy way some tints do. Will definitely be looking for more shades to add to my collection!
