Breitling Unveils Limited-Edition Red Gold 'Chronoliner' Watch
The Swiss watchmaker is once again celebrating all things aeronautical with a luxurious new red gold version of its legendary "Chronoliner" watch. With its sophisticated design and high-flying performances, this chronograph has plenty of appeal for aviation enthusiasts
Breitling's "Chonoliner" captures the spirit of aeronautical navigation in a true captain's watch, now available in a freshly unveiled red gold version. This limited-edition model lands with just 250 pieces available to buy.
This exclusive version plays on contrasts, combining colors and materials in an original way, with an 18-karat red gold case matched with a black bezel made from scratch-resistant high-tech ceramic. The bezel also has a star-shaped cut-out for easier handling. This particular "Chonoliner" comes with a rubber strap with a design reminiscent of the woven steel strap of the "Breitling Aero Classic." This can be switched for a leather or crocodile strap for an extra touch of class.
As well as carefully crafting the design of this limited-edition timepiece, the Swiss watchmaker hasn't overlooked the technical side of things.
Aviation professionals and avid globetrotters can use this functioning chronograph to measure flight times and track three time zones, thanks to a 24-hour scale on the dial accompanied by a red-tipped hand, and a 24-hour scale on the rotating bezel.
As well as hours and minutes functions, the watch has a 30-minute counter at 12 o'clock and a 12-hour counter at six o'clock. There's also a date window at 3 o'clock.
The red gold "Chronoliner" is waterproof to 100 meters and is a limited-edition model with just 250 pieces made.
