By Terry Launches Its First Palette Factory In Asia
If you’re a beauty junkie, crafty person or a fan of bespoke make-up, it’s time to visit the newly-opened By Terry Palette Factory at Lane Crawford IFC.
Challenge your inner DIY diva and create a complexion powder, blusher, bronzer, highlighter or eyeshadow from scratch—by yourself and in under 10 minutes.
Aimed at make-up enthusiasts of all ages, skin tones and styles, By Terry’s Palette Factory offers visitors the unique experience of creating their very own personal palette(s) from an extensive range of rare pigments and refined powders.
There are more than 60 powders to choose from ranging from matte to high-shimmer shades, resulting in over 5,000 possible combinations.
An on-site make-up artist will assist in making colour selections based on your skin tone, and an iPad app will show you a virtual version of the palette before it’s made.
There are four powder pattern options: single, duo, trio, and marbled, which can have as many as five different colours blended together. Each palette is pressed with the By Terry Logo and comes in a specially printed mirror compact.
According to By Terry founder Terry de Gunzberg, the Palette Factory was patterned after food bars.
“I’ve often been asked to make the By Terry experience more accessible. Our process is still very artisanal and it was difficult to export the (food bar) concept without losing its authenticity and degree of expertise, but my daughter Marion challenged me to make it more on-the-go, and more accessible luxury for the younger generation. And so, Palette Factory was born."
By Terry’s Palette Factory at Lane Crawford IFC is currently the first and only one of its kind in Asia.
Palettes range from HK$490 to HK$550 depending on the number of shades. Visit By Terry's Palette Factory pop-up from now until August 30, 2019 at the By Terry counter at Lane Crawford IFC.
